For those that are not familiar with it, Filey is in between Bridlington and Scarborough, up on the East Coast of Yorkshire.

Holidays/UK staycations to Filey are getting more popular, they are the perfect way to enjoy the sand, sea and some relaxation. A little quieter than other northern coastal resorts, Filey is a great choice for those wanting a UK holiday that’s a little less busy. We have holiday cottages, apartments and holiday homes that are all in central locations.

Filey’s best feature is its long stretch of golden beach, (5 miles!) with its views of the Yorkshire Coast. In fact in 2018 Filey won the Sunday Times ‘beach of the year’! It is known as one of the safest UK beaches, as the beach slopes gently and there are no deeper parts, plus there is a lifeguard in the summer.

Filey is great for UK holidays with children. We have some great houses in our collection, from 1 bedroom apartments to 4 bedroom family friendly houses sleeping 9 people. Some are lucky enough to have private gardens, as well as a view of the sea - and one with an outdoor slide and kids chillout room! Beach House. The promenade is a fantastic place to wander all year round - with its colourful beach huts, mini golf course, coastal themed sculptures, little shops and tearooms to sit outside, and some gym equipment. There is a bouncy castle and some rides most of the year round too, and right at the end of the promenade by the RNLI lifeboat station is a lovely family restaurant, the best fresh donuts and waffle shops, and some amusements! In the summer the donkeys are out on the beach and the promenade has a public paddling pool.

Known for being one of the best UK resorts to take your dogs (lots of dog friendly properties, cafes pubs and restaurants, not to mention the walks, part of the beach is dog friendly, and the ‘Doggy Deli’ shop!) The two famous seafront ‘gardens’ - (Glen View Gardens and Crescent Gardens) are close to lots of our properties Glen Garden View and are gorgeous to walk around in the summer and the winter months. Crescent gardens on the cliff top have amazing views over the bay and in the summer the bandstand is host to some wonderful sounds. At the south end of the clifftop at Glen Gardens there is a small boating lake and some free children’s swings.

Filey town is a great little town for souvenir shopping, cafes, restaurants and is also only a ten/fifteen minute stroll from all our properties, or closer. Apartment Brite is just 2 minutes walk into town. Lots of guests park their car and don’t use it at all which is a lovely relaxing break from real-life.
