About Casa Do Engenho

Casa do Engenho has all the ingredients to make the perfect Portuguese holiday, with a large pool, modern and stylish interior, and a selection of restaurants and local tavernas close by. This spacious villa provides more than enough room for a party of 6, with 3 bedrooms over this 2-storey property and all but one featuring an ensuite. The bright living room is beautifully lit by the patio doors that open out to this stunning terrace and pool area, which also includes, for the benefit of families with young children, a pool gate for that extra piece of mind. The streets of Vale de Parra offer a varied selection of bars and restaurants perfect for a relaxing evening out. However, if you’re looking for something a little more lively then Albufeira is a short 15 minute drive away where you’ll find the largest and arguably most famous resort with a buzzing nightlife.

Perfect location - easy to get wherever you need to in a few minutes and it has a really nice view of the river, we chose to park on nunnery street car park as it looked a bit risky to use the garage due to the flood risk but this is a five minute walk and easy to get to! The apartment was spotless, really stylish and very well maintained, really nice to see some milk in the fridge and biscuits on the side. The bed was so comfy we slept really well! Great stay, thank you so much!

Stayed at Al Marina View Uma

A really stylish, comfortable and perfectly located apartment. The bed is comfy, the shower is excellent and the kitchen is really well-equiped! The roofed balcony provides the perfect spot for relaxing with a great view of the river, even if it’s raining. Great to have a smart TV too! The location is ideal, only a couple of mins walk from the city centre and has car parking underneath the apartment (although best to check the flood warnings before you park). This place gave us the perfect base for exploring York and a cosy retreat when the weather turned bad. Would highly recommend!
